Tucked among the heaving stalls of Souk Madinat is a magical location, a restaurant that has most angles covered; spot an area you like and inevitably stumble across another. Dreamy dinner dates are spent in a secluded wind tower (with the best view in the house) gazing at the Gulf, while she balances Burj Al Arab on her surface; here you have the freedom to sample your own personally curated menu. The party table caters to just that, with a waterway view and sociable, private area accommodating up to 12 guests, decorated by light features and potted plants. Two bars are headed by talented mixologist, Raven (that's the gent with the manicured mustache) and restaurant manager Viktorija, an integral part of the team, will enhance your experience while helping you along with your decisions. Dishes support a sharing concept and offer a range of price points. Omani shrimp marjoram and lime gremolata, sage eggy bread, Devon crab and Jersey oyster, sit alongside lamb saddle, whipped pine nuts and salsa, allowing guests the opportunity to create their own tasting menu. There's an interactive kitchen, where Nick and Scott (previously having trained for eight years under Gordon Ramsey holdings) can be seen firing out their fine dining fare in a relaxed environment.

CP Tip: Don't overlook the bar snacks.
