A good amalgamation of modern mixed with traditional Arabic and Indian food. This homegrown Emirati concept is set in a glass building in Downtown and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Light salads and small plates of innovative dishes are available; such as the beetroot falafel 'saj' with goats curd dressing and pickled vegetables (a must) and foie gras kibbeh and hummus medley, with an interesting addition of date and avocado. Their Murgh Lababdar (chicken with gravy and peppers) with paratha is addictive and desserts are few but stand up in quality— as do most of the dishes on the menu. Sip a Karak chai and watch the world go by.
