Zagol
Don't underestimate this pint-sized gem. Like walking into someone's living room, Zagol offers some of the best home cooked Ethiopian food in Dubai. Modest, with tiny stools, mesobs (traditional woven tables shaped like upside down spinning tops) and native trinkets covering the walls, this family run restaurant prepares you for a staunchly authentic meal. Unless you speak Amharic, don't bother with the menu. Go with the staff recommendations or better still the Zagol Special, which offers a bit of everything, customarily accompanied by injera (a national staple and yeast-risen flatbread with a unique, spongy texture). We also recommend the Zilzil Special. Go big or go home and feast like a king.
CP Tip: Karama is a maze… Turn right after Pizza Hut opposite BurJuman mall, then right at the end of the road, next right again, then first left and you've arrived (we hope)!
